Internships and Comparative Cultural Studies Programs Planning Seminars
On October 31st and November 1st, the Center for Hellenic Studies held planning seminars for the Summer Internship Program based in Nafplion, Greece and Harvard's Comparative Cultural Studies Program based in Olympia, Greece. The seminars served to develop the language component for the Internship Program, and to address collaboration between the two programs. We look forward to an exciting summer. Report on Classics in Undergraduate Liberal Education Has Been Published
Liberal Education has published the Center for Hellenic Studies' fifteen-month review of classics in undergraduate liberal education. The Center conducted the study in conjunction with the Teagle Foundation’s The Disciplines and Undergraduate Education initiative.
Sunoikisis Comes to the Center for Hellenic Studies
The Center for Hellenic Studies is now home to Sunoikisis, a national consortium of classics programs. This semester Sunoikisis offers inter-institutional, collaborative courses: CAGR 393-Aristophanes and CALA 392-The Late Republic. In the spring, the Center will host the Sunoikisis Undergraduate Research Symposium. The annual faculty development seminars will occur in June 2010 at the Center.
